Ebuka Izundu signs NLI to play basketball for Miami
Ebuka Izundu, a 6-foot-10, 205-pound center, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Miami men's basketball team.
Izundu, a native of Nigeria like rising senior center Tonye Jekiri, averaged 21 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks a game for Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte.
Originally committed to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he was granted a release from his NLI. Izundu chose the Hurricanes over Arkansas and Cincinnati.
"We love his size, length and athletic ability," head coach Jim Larrañaga said in a statement. "He has a great personality and work ethic. Ebuka can really run the floor, block shots, rebound and score in around the basket."
