To say this was an emotional game for the Carolina Hurricanes would probably be an understatement. Just about an hour before puck drop, it was announced that the team's longtime captain Eric Staal had been dealt to the New York Rangers. Down a forward, they had to muster up the emotional energy to play a 60-minute game of hockey against a team seeking revenge for a 5-0 loss the night prior.
