Fantasy Football: Week 14 DraftKings and FanDuel advice
We’re here to give you the best match-ups and players as you set your Fantasy Football DFS lineups for Week 14.
Each position will be broken into three separate categories:
1. High-tier – These are your “heavy hitters.” If you play season-long fantasy football, they more than likely are the players who went in the first few rounds. They will cost you a pretty penny, but in the end, it’ll be worth it.
2. Mid-tier – This is where a majority of the players will be located. The key is finding the players with the most favorable match-ups, and in turn, exceeding the dollar amount placed upon them.
3. Low-tier (value) – These are your bottom-of-the-barrel players in terms of pricing, but not necessarily in ability or situation. Not only should these players outperform their salary, they should crush it.
At the end, I’ll provide you with two lineups (one for FanDuel and one for Draft Kings). These lineups should be used for you to use as a base while you plug in some different players you may prefer.

Quarterbacks
High-tier
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FD $8,700/DK $7,400): If you had Brees in your lineups last week, I can almost guarantee you won no money. His zero touchdown and three interception performance is as rare as a solar eclipse, so don’t expect it to happen two weeks in a row.
Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears (FD $8,500/DK $6,800): The Bears have given up multiple touchdown passes in three out their last four games. If it wasn’t for the horrible weather conditions last week, it probably would have been four out of four. This week Stafford plays at home at Ford Field. Inside that dome, he’s averaging 248 passing yards per game and has only one interception there on the season. Note: Stafford is “mid-tier” on DraftKings.
Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints (FD $8,200/DK $6,700): The Saints secondary isn’t good, but if you follow the NFL, you should already know that. Over Winston’s last seven games, he is averaging 265 passing yards and two touchdowns per game. Note: Winston is “mid-tier” on DraftKings.
Mid-tier
Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers vs. Carolina Panthers (FD $8,000/DK $6,600): Over his last five games, Rivers is averaging 267 passing yards and two-plus touchdowns. He gets a good matchup this week against the Panthers inexperienced secondary. However, there’s some risk with Rivers. He has 10 turnovers over the last five games.
Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers (FD $7,900/DK $6,600): The Packers defense can’t catch a break with injuries. They are so depleted they allowed Brock Osweiler to look competent last week. Wilson is as dangerous as they come, and now he gets a great matchup.
Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns (FD $7,700/DK $6,100): Dalton was able to expose the Eagles last week, so he’s more than capable of doing the same to the Browns. There have been only two games this season where the Browns haven’t given up multiple touchdown passes to an opposing quarterback.
Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles (FD $7,600/DK $6,300): The Eagles look like a team that is lost and/or has given up. They have been very generous to quarterbacks as of late, and Cousins has a great statistical history against the Eagles in his career.
Low-tier (value)
Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Jets (FD $7,300/DK $5,800): Yes, he didn’t have a great game last week. Okay fine, he had an awful game last week. However, so did Drew Brees, but I don’t see anyone throwing the towel in on him. Last time I checked, it doesn’t snow that often in San Francisco, so expect to see the Kaperenick we watched in Weeks 6-12

Running Backs
High-tier
David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins (FD $9,700/DK $9,800) and Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills (FD $9,000/DK $9,000): I know fantasy football can be a crapshoot at times, but these two elite running backs are as matchup proof as you can get.
Mid-tier
LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (FD $8,300/DK $8,200): McCoy is coming off a game where he totaled 191 yards on 24 touches. He’s a workhorse who his capable of breaking a long touchdown anytime he touches the ball.
Spencer Ware, Kanas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders (FD $7,600/DK $6,300): The most rushing yards Ware had in a game this season (131) came back in Week 6. His opponent that week is the same one he’s facing this week. The Raiders are the same team who gave up 191 total yards to LeSean McCoy on Sunday.
Jeremy Hill, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns (FD $6,900/DK $5,800): The last time Hill played the Browns, he had 168 rushing yards on nine carries. With Giovani Bernard no longer in the picture, Hill should see plenty of touches in a favorable matchup.
Latavius Murray, Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs (FD $6,800/DK $5,200): The Raiders are finally treating Murray like a true starting running back who is getting plenty of snaps and touches. He has eight rushing touchdowns over his last six games. The Chiefs gave up two rushing touchdowns last week to Falcons starting running back Devonta Freeman.
Low-tier (value)
Thomas Rawls, Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers (FD $6,500/DK $5,700): I’m not sure what was better about Rawls last week: his stats (106 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns) or the eye test. He looked like the Thomas Rawls of 2015, and he faces a Packers defense that has countless injuries.
Rob Kelley, Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles (FD $5,900/DK $4,200): He’s a volume running back against an Eagles defense that is slowly falling apart.
Tevin Coleman, Atalanta Falcons vs. Los Angeles Rams (FD $5,400/DK $4,000): He’s now seen double-digit touches in back-to-back games since returning from injury. I wouldn’t expect anything less in a favorable matchup against the Rams.
Nov 3, 2016; Tampa, FL, USA; Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (13) ca
Wide Receivers
High-tier
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints (FD $8,900/DK $8,900): The most targeted wide receiver in the NFL did not score a touchdown last week. There’s only been one time this season where Evans has gone two straight games without a touchdown.
Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills (FD $8,800/DK $8,700): He’s averaging more fantasy points per game this season than any other wide receiver in the NFL. What else do you want to hear?
Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys (FD $8,500/DK $8,000): He either has a touchdown or 100 receiving yards in four out his last five games. You can hate him or love him but either way, OBJ always has a shot at being the best statistical wide receiver in the NFL any given week.
Mid-tier
Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs (FD $7,400/DK $7,500): The last time Cooper played the Chiefs, he finished with 10 receptions for 129 yards. He’ll more than likely avoid cornerback Marcus Peters for a majority of his snaps, which we like.
Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers (FD $7,000/DK $6,800): As Seattle’s offense continues to improve, so do Baldwin’s stats. He has six or more receptions in four out of his last five games and is averaging 70 yards per game in that span. He hasn’t has a receiving touchdown since Week 10, but the Packers defense is awfully generous.
Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins (FD $6,800/DK $7,100): He’s a top-nine wide receiver in PPR scoring (DraftKings) and his price is constantly lower than it should be. He’s a target/reception monster in a favorable matchup.
Julian Edelman, New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens (FD $6,600/DK $6,800): Tom Brady‘s BFF now has eight receptions in three straight games and has seven or more receptions in five out of his last six games. That type of usage should continue.
Golden Tate, Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears (FD $6,300/DK $6,600): The Lions No.1 wide receiver exploded last week for 145 yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t really a surprise, but his low-pricing this week kind of is.
Malcolm Mitchell, New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens (FD $6,200/DK $4,200): Without Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola, Mitchell is good for about 8-10 targets a game. He’s also one of Brady’s primary target in the red zone. Note: He is “low-tier” in DraftKings.
Low-tier (value)
Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins (FD $5,900/DK $5,400): He should be returning this week after missing last week with an injury. He’ll go back to being the No.1 wide receiver in the Eagles offense.
Pierre Garcon, Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles (FD $5,400/DK $4,200): Over the last four games against the Eagles with Cousins at quarterback, Garcon is averaging eight receptions and 88 yards with three total touchdowns.

Tight End
High-tier
Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns (FD $6,700/DK $6,000): Andy Dalton’s favorite target has a touchdown in two straight games and three out of his last five. Plus, it’s the Browns.
Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers (FD $6,600/DK $5,500): He now has four touchdowns over the last five games. As I’ve said over and over again, Green Bay’s defense doesn’t have the bodies on defense to stop opposing offenses.
Mid-tier
Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins (FD $5,700/DK $4,900): He had his best game of the season last week, and his strong play should continue. He has at least six receptions in four out his last five games.
Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints (FD $5,600/DK $4,100): With all the injuries to the Buccaneers offense, Brate should only finish behind Mike Evans in terms of targets. This game has the ability to be a shootout, and Brate should be a big part of it.
Low-tier (value)
Jermaine Gresham, Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins (FD $4,500/DK $2,500): Gresham was one yard away last week from having a touchdown in three straight games. Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta was the second-best fantasy tight end last week and a big reason for that was because he was playing against the Dolphins.

D/ST
High-tier
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns (FD $5,000/DK $3,500): They are playing the Browns. Enough said.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (FD $4,800/DK $3,900): It’s amazing how many pick-sixes Blake Bortles is throwing. It’s impressive, but not in a good way.
Mid-tier
Arizona Cardinals vs. Miami Dolphins (FD $4,700/DK $3,200): Miami’s offense isn’t the same when their offensive line isn’t at full strength. Right now, they are missing their starting center, and two other starters are less than 100%.
Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears (FD $4,600/DK $3,600): The Lions defense shut down Drew Brees last week while on the road. At home against Matt Barkely, I like their chances.
Low-tier (value)
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders (FD $4,300/DK $3,1000): They don’t have a great matchup but they’ve shown they can score on defense and special teams in back-to-back weeks. Playing at home in not-so-great weather conditions could work in their favor.
