For Sale (by teammates): Phillies rookie pitcher Nola's first hit ball
The summer of stolen/ransomed souvenir baseballs continues.
Philadelphia Phillies' top starting pitching prospect Aaron Nola made his major-league debut Tuesday night, holding the Tampa Bay Rays to only one run over six innings. He also hit a line-drive single in his second at-bat. Compare that with Cubs veteran Jon Lester, who needed a record 67 at-bats to notch his first career hit.

Unfortunately for the 22-year-old Nola — a bright spot for the cellar-dwelling 33-63 Phillies — he's apparently going to have to have to pay up if he wants that ball in his trophy case:

Looks like bidding starts at about $2,000. Negotiable, probably.
The Indians, whose bullpen held Brandon Moss' 100th home run ball ransom for Apple products and lube, but did not invent the idea of holding things for ransom, called the Phillies copycats.
