Former Clipper Rasual Butler, wife killed in Studio City crash

Former Clipper Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle, were killed in a car accident early Wednesday morning in Studio City.

The news was first reported by TMZ.

Butler, a second-round pick by the Heat in 2002, played for LA from 2009-2011. His best season during his 13-year career came with the Clippers, when he averaged 11.9 points per game during 2009-10 season.

Butler also played for New Orleans, Chicago, Toronto, Indiana, Washington and San Antonio.

His wife, Leah LaBelle, was a signer and former contestant on 'American Idol.'
