FOX Sports Kansas City to televise Royals marathon on Christmas Day

Royals fans: Forget the Christmas ham and egg nog. This year on Christmas Day binge on the 2015 Royals season.

FOX Sports Kansas City will air a 16 1/2-hour Royals marathon on Friday, Dec. 25, starting at 9 a.m. and wrapping up early the next morning at 1:30 a.m. The Royals Christmas Day Marathon will consist of Games 1 and 5 of the World Series, three memorable regular-season games, a one-hour retrospective titled Take The Crown and a replay of the championship parade and rally. The full schedule is below.

As fans celebrate the World Champions and re-live the championship season they're encouraged to post to social media with the hashtag #RoyalsChristmas.

The Royals Christmas Day Marathon can be seen on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports Midwest in the Royals TV footprint, including DirecTV channel 671 and Dish 418 or 412-08.

11 a.m.        Aug. 23: Royals 8, Red Sox 6

                    Royals rally with four runs in the ninth at Fenway.

1 p.m.          Take The Crown

A one-hour retrospective on the 2015 Royals, hosted by FSKC's Ryan Lefebvre, Rex Hudler, Joel Goldberg and Jeff Montgomery.

2 p.m.          Sept. 24: Royals 10, Mariners 4

                    Kansas City celebrates its first division title since 1985.

4 p.m.          Take The Crown

5 p.m.          World Series Game 1: Royals 5, Mets 4

Alcides Escobar starts it with an inside-the-park home run, Alex Gordon ties it in the ninth and Eric Hosmer ends it in the 14th.

8 p.m.          World Series Game 5: Royals 7, Mets 2

                    #Crowned.

11 p.m.        Royals Victory Parade and Celebration

12:30 a.m.   Take The Crown

Note: Regular-season games are edited to a two-hour window, World Series games to three hours and the parade/celebration to 90 minutes.
