FOX Sports North announces 2019 Twins telecast schedule
FOX Sports North and the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday announced a 160-game telecast schedule for the 2019 season. FOX Sports North will serve as the exclusive local television home for the Twins.
FOX Sports North’s regular-season coverage begins March 28, with the Twins home opener against Cleveland starting at 2 p.m. CT with a special one-hour edition of "Twins Live."
Highlights of the 2019 season schedule include six matchups against the World Series champion Boston Red Sox, 19 contests with the reigning division champion Cleveland Indians and the Washington Nationals' first visit to Target Field.
Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Dick Bremer enters his 36th season in the booth with an impressive lineup of Twins alumni, including National Baseball Hall of Famer Bert Blyleven and four-time World Series champion and 2018 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Jack Morris, along with 1987 Twins World Series champion Roy Smalley, former Twins standouts LaTroy Hawkins and Justin Morneau as well as Twins Hall of Famer Jim Kaat, who previously broadcast Twins games from 1988-93.
Also contributing to FOX Sports North’s Twins coverage as sideline reporters during the 2019 season are Marney Gellner and Audra Martin.
"Twins Live" returns with hosts Tom Hanneman and Anthony LaPanta with 1987 World Series champion Tim Laudner serving as primary analyst.
All games, as well as pre- and postgame coverage, will stream live across FOX Sports digital platforms.
Fans can prepare for the 2019 season with "Twins Season Preview", which premieres March 15.
As previously announced, FOX Sports North is also televising 11 Twins spring training games from the Grapefruit League in Florida, beginning March 1.
