FOX Sports San Diego announces 2016-17 Anaheim Ducks TV Schedule
Los Angeles â The Anaheim Ducks and Prime Ticket/FOX Sports San Diego announced today the club's local television schedule for the 2016-17 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season. Throughout Southern California and Las Vegas, eighty games will air live on FOX networks, including 77 on Prime Ticket/FOX Sports West and three on KCOP-TV. For fans living in the San Diego market, 65 total Ducks games will air on FOX Sports San Diego. Two additional games will also air nationally on NBC Sports Network. Ahead of the regular season, Anaheim's preseason games on Sunday, Oct. 2 vs. Los Angeles and Sunday, Oct. 9 vs. Sharks will be broadcast on Prime Ticket and FOX Sports San Diego.
John Ahlers returns for his 15th season as the Ducks television play-by-play voice, having called 905 regular-season games since joining the club in 2002. An original member of the team (1993-94), Brian Hayward opens his 24th consecutive season as the Ducks' color analyst, having called 1,390 regular-season games with the franchise. Ahlers and Hayward will return to the broadcast booth for their first telecast of 2016-17 on Sunday, Oct. 2 when Anaheim hosts Los Angeles in the club's fourth preseason game (4:30 p.m. pre-game show).
"Ducks Live" returns prior to and immediately following all home and road telecasts on Prime Ticket/FOX Sports West. Kent French will again serve as host, sitting alongside Hayward to offer viewers further analysis. Guy Hebert joins Hayward to provide analysis for all home shows as well. In addition, French will rotate with Julie Stewart-Binks to offer updates and reports throughout each telecast on the regional sports networks. Connected, original, fast-paced and fun, the half-hour program brings fans closer to the team with player and coach interviews, game analysis and much more.
From the production truck, Bob Sipowich will split time in both the producer and director chairs throughout the season. Max Michalak will serve as producer when Sipowich is directing; and Tom Connole will direct when Sipowich produces.
Additionally, Prime Ticket and FOX Sports San Diego will deliver the following original Ducks programs to start the season: "Ducks Live: Season Preview Special" debuting Sunday, October 9 at 8PM; "Ducks Weekly," returning for its fourth season, will air every Thursday throughout the regular season.
All Ducks games airing locally on Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego and KCOP-TV will also be available on FOX Sports GO.
