Rank (Previous) School Record
1. (2) Mater Dei, 1-0
The Monarchs looked great defensively and committed to running the football, showing nice balance offensively. They'll take on the defending national champs this weekend, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, in a battle of top five nationally rated teams. Our coverage begins at 7:30p on Prime Ticket & FOX Sports GO.
2. (3) Centennial, Corona, 1-0
The Huskies rolled to an easy win over a talented NorCal Pittsburg squad. This week they'll try to avenge last season's heartbreaking lose to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.
3. (1) St. John Bosco, 0-1
The Braves lost in overtime to Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquina,s 9-3. The Bosco defense was tremendous but the offense could never find the end zone. Look for an angry Braves squad to take out their frustration against Bakersfield Garces.

The Diablos had a bye over the weekend but will take on Vista Murrieta
(Calif.) this Friday, a team they beat for a CIF Championship two years ago.

The Lancers avenged last year's season opening loss to La Mirada by pitching a 35-0 shutout this time around. They'll take on San Diego power Cathedral Catholic in the Honor Bowl this weekend.

The Eagles looked tremendous on both sides of the ball in a season opening win over Oaks Christian. Next up is Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe, a perennial powerhouse in the Desert State.

The Lions are expected to have a prolific offense and it was on full display in a 45-27 victory over a very good Corona Del Mar squad. Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany is up next.
