Franchise records falling for Wild with 10 games to go
With 10 games to go in the regular season, the Minnesota Wild are already setting franchise records.
The Wild have scored a record 232 goals this season, 184 of which have been at even strength, matching the 2014-15 team as the highest-scoring even-strength group in franchise history.
Defenseman Matt Dumba has been a big part of the Wild's offense surge.
He scored his 10th goal of the season in the Wild's slump-busting 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks, and now leads the Wild's defensive corps with 0.45 goals per 60 minutes.
Dumba is the first Wild defenseman since Brent Burns to score at least 10 goals in multiple seasons, and with three goals in his last five games is on pace to come up just short of Burns' franchise record of 17 goals, set in 2011.
Dumba has been the Wild's most consistent shooter from the blue line, and is converting on 11.2 percent of his shots at 5-on-5.
The Wild have been finding the back of the net across the board, and at 10.4 percent are on pace to overtake the 2007-08 team (9.9 percent) in overall shooting percentage.
However, the biggest factor has been their scoring depth.
Minnesota's offense has been led by a different player in each of the last three months.
Mikko Koivu, Jason Zucker and Nino Niederreiter paced the Wild in January with six goals each, Mikael Granlund led the way in February with nine goals and Eric Staal is leading the way in March with seven.

-- Staal has scored 20 goals at even strength this season, his most since 2008-09.
-- The Wild should have little trouble scoring on the Flyers. Winger Jakub Voracek (minus-27) and defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (minus-25) rank second and third for the Eastern Conference's lowest plus/minus rating.
-- Minnesota's penalty kill ranks fifth in the league over the last month at 86.8 percent.
