Getting closer: Broncos' Thomas practices, hopes to play Sunday
I hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving, everyone. Even those of you who started Tony Romo and Colin Kaepernick in your fantasy leagues.
Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) returned to a limited practice Thursday. Head coach John Fox called Thomas "day to day," so let's see what happens today.
Texans RB Arian Foster (groin) practiced Thursday, and head coach Bill O'Brien said he expects Foster to play.
Raiders RB Latavius Murray (concussion) was limited in Thursday's practice, and though he hasn't officially cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, it sounds like he's tracking in the right direction. Watch the news on Murray on Friday and Saturday, but expect him to play,
Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle) didn't practice on Thursday, but is expected to be back on the practice field today. Don't worry about White just yet.
In case you missed it, Robert Griffin III has been benched -- possibly forever -- by the Redskins. Colt McCoy will start this week, and should keep the job unless he's reeeeeaaaaalllllly bad.
In other Redskins news, it sounds like TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) could be ready to play this week. Head coach Jay Gruden said that they're "slowly but surely" working Reed back in.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald says it's "highly likely" that he'll play this week, but Arizona Republic beat writer Kent Somers calls it a "stretch" that Fitzgerald will be active, noting that the Cardinals' two-game lead in the NFC West could encourage them to be conservative. Somers is probably right.
Geno Smith will start at quarterback on Monday for the Jets against the Dolphins. In related news, the Dolphins are my top-ranked fantasy defense this week.
Look for Trent Richardson and Dan Herron to continue to share time in the Colts' backfield. TE Dwayne Allen (ankle) still isn't practicing, and appears unlikely to play Sunday.
Packers WR Davante Adams was held out of Thursday's practice, and nobody seems to know why. It's not like he's been producing for you, anyway.
Dolphins TE Charles Clay (knee, hamstring) has been limited in practice this week, and while it sounds like he'll play, a Monday game makes him risky.
Here's my roster for this week's DraftKings "Millionaire Maker." If I win, I'll buy Ryan Fowler a full-day spa treatment:
QB: Ben Roethlisberger $7,600
RB: Tre Mason $4,600
RB: Latavius Murray $3,800
WR: Antonio Brown $9,000
WR: Charles Johnson $4,000
WR: Michael Floyd $3,600
TE: Rob Gronkowski $7,800
FLEX: Justin Forsett $6,300
DST: Dolphins $3,200
Make sure to check out our Sunday morning chat, featuring Adam Meyer, Joel Beall and me from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. ET, as well as our Week 13 rankings, which will be updated Friday night. Good luck this week!
