Minnesota Wild forward Tyler Graovac is headed back to the AHL.
Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau is mixing things up following a tough loss.
The Minnesota Wild reassigned forward Tyler Graovac to the AHL on Monday, clearing the way for Jason Pominville to return to the lineup.
Pominville was a healthy scratch for the Wild's 6-5 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, and has just three points in his last eight games.
Graovac scored against the Jets and had a plus-1 rating.
The 6-foot-5 forward has appeared in 52 games for the Wild this season, scoring seven goals and adding two assists.
A seventh-round pick of the Wild in 2011, Graovac has appeared in 57 career games with the Wild, but has spent the bulk of his career in the AHL, where he has played in 188 games for the Iowa Wild.
The Wild have lost five games in a row, but remain in second place in the Central Division with 92 points, seven points behind the division-leading Chicago Blackhawks and 11 points ahead of the third-place St. Louis Blues.
Minnesota hosts San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.
