How they voted: Badgers in 2015-16 AP basketball poll (Week 16)

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:17 p.m. ET

It wasn't necessarily the best week for the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team. First, a humbling loss at Michigan State then they were on the verge of getting blown out at home by a bad Illinois team before staging a nice comeback to pick up a win.

In all honesty, neither the loss nor the win likely had too much of an affect on Wisconsin's quest for an NCAA tournament bid (but don't worry, several key games lie ahead). It did, however, cause Wisconsin to lose a few votes in the latest Associated Press top 25 poll.

One week after garnering 47 votes in the poll, the Badgers picked up just 27 this past week.

For those who prefer the glass half-full, two voters moved Wisconsin up on their ballots from the previous week. CBS Sports Jon Rothstein upped the Badgers up three spots, from 23 to 20 while the Lansing State Journal's Graham Couch, who presumably saw that UW-Michigan State game, slotted the Badgers at 21 compared to 22 seven days prior.

With games at Iowa and vs. Michigan this week it will be interesting to see how things stand seven days from now. If Wisconsin gets votes, we'll be back with another edition. Until then, here's a comparison of the votes from Week 16 and Week 15.
