How they voted: Badgers in 2015-16 AP basketball poll (Week 17)
The Wisconsin Badgers are playing as well as probably anyone in college basketball right now. Remember when people were questioning whether Wisconsin would even make the NCAA tournament? No longer.
The Badgers have won nine of their last 10 games and now seem a lock to make the Big Dance. UW is also on the precipice of re-entering the Associated Press top 25.
After losing 20 votes last week thanks to the loss at Michigan State, the Badgers recouped those votes and more after wins over Iowa and Michigan.
Wisconsin received 93 votes this past week, good for No. 26 overall in the AP poll, 85 votes behind No. 25 Cal.
It is UW's best showing in the top 25 poll since the preseason poll. The Badgers hadn't been ranked as high as 19 on a ballot since that initial poll; five voters have UW at 19 or higher this past week.
Overall, Wisconsin was on 18 of the 65 ballots this past week. One person actually moved UW down one spot, too.
