Paul whinced after attempting to defend Gerald Henderson on a play near the Clippers' basket. Leaving the game, the Clippers' star point guard immediately headed to the locker room, kicking out in frustration as he left, and did not return. He had 16 points and four assists before the injury.

With Paul out, the Blazers would take control of the game in the fourth quarter defeating the Clippers 98-84. The series is now tied at two games apiece and heads back to Los Angeles on Wednesday. Whether Paul will be available for the Clippers then or at all in the remaining games of the series is still up in the air.
