'Inside the Heat: Hassan Whiteside' premieres Feb. 2 on FOX Sports Sun
MIAMI -- On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 11:00 p.m., FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Miami HEAT, will debut a new episode of "Inside the HEAT" upon conclusion of the Miami vs. Houston Rockets game. Titled "Hassan Whiteside," this episode provides an all-access look at the life and background of the young HEAT center and his journey to get to the NBA.
Join "Inside the HEAT" and host Eric Reid as we spend some time in Hassan's hometown of Gastonia, N.C., where he takes viewers on a never before seen journey of where he grew up. Hassan shares some insight of growing up and how basketball became the center of his world, whether it was playing with his brothers at the local park or in his first organized game after a growth spurt in high school. We learn about his record breaking year at Marshall University, and how he came up with the decision to enter the NBA draft after his freshman year. Whiteside then takes us through his journey from Sacramento to China to Lebanon all before he found his professional basketball home with Miami.
