'Inside the Lightning: Steve Yzerman' premieres Feb. 18 on FOX Sports Sun
TAMPA, Fla. -- On Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 p.m., FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, will premiere an all-new episode of “Inside the Lightning” upon conclusion of the Lightning vs. Dallas Stars game. “Inside the Lightning: Steve Yzerman” presents a firsthand account and study at how his 20 plus years as a star in the National Hockey League helped shape the way he manages the Lightning franchise as General Manager.
It’s quite an accomplishment to flourish in the NHL. From leading an original six franchise back to the top, to captaining a team for two decades, Yzerman’s time on the ice culminated with his raising of Lord Stanley’s Cup three times as a player and once as a member of Detroit Red Wings management. He earned Olympic gold, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and named one of the game’s top 100 players of all time. All these accolades were just chapter one of his career as he sat down with FOX Sports Sun to reflect on his career and share his philosophies and perspectives on building a winner in Tampa Bay.
