'Inside the Panthers: Forever Young: Jaromir Jagr' premieres Oct. 10 on FOX Sports Florida
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Pack your bags and join FOX Sports Florida on a trip to the Czech Republic for an exclusive sit-down with Panthers forward and NHL legend Jaromir Jagr. On Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10:00 p.m., "Inside the Panthers: Forever Young: Jaromir Jagr" will be televised statewide on FOX Sports Florida following the Panthers LIVE postgame show.
The Panthers made a move to make the organization a Stanley Cup contender last season when they acquired Jagr. He quickly impacted the young front line with Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau as they combined to put up 54 points in the final 20 games of the year. That kind of production spread out over a full season would set the bar for a determined team. Jagr's game suits the Panthers as he's proven that at 43 years old, he doesn't need to skate like he did when he was 20. His production at the end of the last year speaks louder than his birth date as Jagr put up 18 points in the last 20 games.
"Inside the Panthers" will take viewers to Europe for a first-hand look at Jagr's family traditions. He lived in a country where it was forbidden to speak English. Today, his city of Kladno is a hot bed for NHL talent. Jagr's resume speaks for itself. He has won Stanley Cups, World Championships, scoring titles and gold medals in the Olympics with several records still in reach. He needs 20 goals to surpass Brett Hull for third in career goals and 86 points to surpass Wayne Gretzky for career points.
