Isabell notches a double-double in SLU's 62-49 win over La Salle
ST. LOUIS — Tramaine Isabell had a season-high 23 points and 10 rebounds as Saint Louis defeated La Salle 62-49 on Saturday.
Javon Bess had 14 points for the Billikens (17-9, 8-5 Atlantic 10 Conference). Jordan Goodwin added 10 points and eight rebounds, while Hasahn French had 10 rebounds and three blocks for the home team.
Saul Phiri had 12 points for the Explorers (8-16, 6-6). Ed Croswell added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Jared Kimbrough had seven rebounds.
Pookie Powell, who led the Explorers in scoring heading into the contest with 16 points per game, shot only 17 percent in the game (1 of 6). Isiah Deas, the Explorers' second-leading scorer coming into the matchup at 12 points per game, shot only 18 percent in the game (2 of 11).
The Billikens completed a regular-season sweep of the Explorers, building on their 71-64 victory at La Salle back on Jan. 12. Saint Louis plays Dayton on the road next Saturday. La Salle plays Saint Bonaventure on the road on Wednesday.
