Jettisoned Ginn describes Cardinals tenure 'chasing a check'
Tedd Ginn Jr. did not supply the spark in the return game the Cardinals sought last season and he was cut during the offseason, just one year into a three-year contract.
Ginn is back with the Carolina Panthers and on Friday discussed his time with the Cardinals, which he described as "chasing a check." From the AP:
Ginn decided to go for the money, parlaying a productive season into a three-year, $9.75 million free agent contact with the Arizona Cardinals in 2014.
"You only have a short window in this league, so you just gotta go and do what's good for your family," Ginn said of joining the Cardinals. "At the end of the day, I don't think going out there was best for my family. I think being here (in Carolina) was the best thing for me.
"The Panthers gave me everything I could ask for when I was here. Then going to Arizona, they just shut me back down. To come back here and get another life is great."
