LA Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick was named First Star of the Week by the NHL on Monday.

Quick enjoyed a perfect week in the Kings' net including a 4-0-0 record and 1.00 goals against average.

The Connecticut-native also record his 40th career shutout in the team's 5-0 thrashing of the Canuncks last week. The shutout ties him with John Vanbiesbrouck and Frank Brimsek for most all-time by an American-born goalie.
