Congratulations are in order for Oklahoma City superstar Kevin Durant who successfully proposed to his girlfriend, WNBA player Monica Wright.
Media Takeout first reported that KD popped the question this weekend to the Lynx guard and Wright confirmed it with the press following the Lynx's Sunday game.
The two apparently were close friends in high school and developed a relationship.
In September of 2011, Durant sent out an oddly prophetic tweet for a basketball girlfriend, professing his crush on a character named Monica Wright in the movie "Love & Basketball."
Though the shoutout came a few years earlier, the initial report goes on to say the two had been dating only 'for months' and offers a photo of Wright rocking a diamond ring.
