Last season was a breakout year for Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun. Sporting career highs in home runs and RBI, Calhoun also went to work in the field capturing his first AL Gold Glove Award.
Major League Baseball players, being the superstitious creatures they are, are notorious for sticking with what works for them whether it's a glove, hat or even pair of socks. So when Calhoun was asked where he's keeping last season's glove that won him the AL Gold Glove Award, you might be surprised to hear his response:
There you have it, folks. Garage gold. Let's hope Calhoun doesn't mistakenly sell that glove at a garage sale anytime soon.
