Late 3 lifts New Mexico State past Bakersfield in 2OT

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Ian Baker hit a 3-point field at the buzzer of the second overtime to lift New Mexico State to a 68-67 win over Cal State Bakersfield in a Western Athletic Conference showdown Saturday night.
Bakersfield took a 31-18 lead on Dedrick Basile's dunk with 30 seconds left in the first half, but Tanveer Bhullar's layup with three seconds left sent New Mexico State into the break trailing by 11 points.
Kevin Mays gave Bakersfield a 48-44 lead but Baker hit two free throws and Pascal Siakam scored with 16 seconds left to tie the game and force the first overtime. Siakam then did the same thing with 1:31 left to force the second.
Siakam finished with 21 points and Baker added 16 for New Mexico State (13-8, 5-1).
Jaylin Airington scored 16 points and Aly Ahmed and Basile each added 12 for CS Bakersfield (14-6, 4-1).
