It was thought to be an unbreakable record. But on Friday night in the first quarter against the Pelicans LeBron James snapped Michael Jordan's seemingly insurmountable feat of scoring double-digit points in 866 straight games. James' mark sits at 867 and counting.

One of the most impressive aspects of James' career is his consistency. James has consistently been at the top of the NBA for much of his career while staying on the floor, which in his 15th season he is on pace to play all 82 games this year. The durability of James throughout his career has given him the ability to break the streak set by Jordan.

After setting the mark, Cavaliers fans at Quicken Loans Arena honored James with a loud ovation and chants of "MVP."

The last time James scored in single digits was a game against the Milwaukee Bucks more than 10 years ago on Jan. 5th, 2007.
