Tom Kelly, the voice of USC football and basketball over the span of five decades, died Monday at the age of 88.

Kelly began his play-by-play career behind a radio mic calling Trojan football and basketball games from 1961 to 1965 and 1973 to 1988. In 1989, Kelly moved to the television presiding over Trojan games for Prime Ticket. Kelly remained with the Trojans until 2003.

During his time with USC, Kelly called games for five USC national championship football teams, five Heisman Trophy winners and 92 first team All-Americans. He also did play-by-play for the San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Clippers during his career.

In 2005, Kelly was inducted into the Southern California Broadcaster Hall of Fame.
