Let's dance: Where Florida's teams ended up in the NCAA tournament

Florida Gators


The Florida Gators are the No. 4 seed in the East Region, where they will take on East Tennessee State on Thursday in Orlando, Fla.

Florida (24-8, 14-4) finished second in the SEC and enter the tournament having lost three of its past four.

East Tennessee State (27-7, 14-4) won the Southern Conference tournament to earn the automatic big, beating Mercer, Samford and UNC Greensboro en route to the title.

Leading scorers: G KeVaughn Allen (13.9 for Florida), G T.J. Cromer (19.1 for East Tennessee State)

Miami Hurricanes


The Miami Hurricanes (8th seed) will face off against Michigan State (9th) in the Midwest Region on Friday in Tulsa, Okla.

The Hurricanes (21-11, 10-8) hold wins over Duke, North Carolina and Virginia during a regular season that saw then crack into The Associated Press top 25 the last week of the season.

The Spartans stumbled to  19-14 record (and went 10-8 in conference)and have lost three of four, including a 63-58 loss to Minnesota in the Big 10 tournament.

Leading scorers: G Davon Reed (15.0 for Miami), G/F Miles Bridges (16.7 for Michigan State)

Florida State Seminoles/Florida Gulf Coast Eagles


Dunk City will invade Orlando when the 14th-seeded Eagles of Florida Gulf Coast take on the 3rd-seeded Florida State Seminoles.

FSU (25-8, 12-6) climbed into the top 10 of The Associated Press poll after a 16-1 start to the season.

FGCU (26-7, 12-2) reeled of four straight victories to end the regular season and then won three more to take the Atlantic Sun Conference crown.

Leading scorers: G Dwayne Bacon (16.9 for FSU), G Brandon Goodwin (18.2 for FGCU)
