Lightning switch up goalies again, recall Vasilevskiy, reassign Gudlevskis

TAMPA BAY, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy from the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. In addition, Tampa Bay has reassigned goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis to the Crunch.

Vasilevskiy, 21, has appeared in 12 games with the Crunch this season, posting a 7-4-1 record with a 1.94 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. He has also recorded one shutout. Vasilevskiy won his only start on this most recent recall, making 29 saves on 31 shots faced in the Crunch's 3-2 win against the Binghamton Senators on Friday night.

The Tyumen, Russia, native has appeared in 17 games with the Lightning this season, posting a 10-5-0 record with a .910 save percentage and a 2.75 goals-against average. He has played in 33 career NHL games, with a 17-10-1 record, a .914 save percentage and a 2.56 goals-against average.

Vasilevskiy was drafted by Tampa Bay in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft.
