JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker/defensive end Ryan Davis, who had 10 sacks over the past two seasons, says he has been waived.

Davis made the announcement on his Twitter page Friday, posting "I got love for Duval, but my time here is done, catch ya later."

The decision was somewhat expected with the emergence of versatile linebackers Myles Jack and Hayes Pullard III. Davis moved from defensive end to strong-side linebacker this year in an attempt to land a roster spot. He had been with the Jaguars since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

Defensive tackle T.J. Barnes and rookie defensive end Tyrone Holmes also announced on Twitter that they have been waived. The agent for offensive tackle Rashod Hill said his client also was waived.

NFL teams must cut rosters from 75 to 53 players by Saturday afternoon.
