Currently in his 36th season with the Clippers, Lawler is a three-time LA Emmy Award winning announcer and has called 2,838 career Clippers games as the third longest tenured broadcaster in the NBA. Unlike other announcers who use headsets while calling the game, Lawler relies exclusively on a handheld microphone during game telecasts.
Of Lawler's beloved "Lawler-isms," Lawler's Law -- which implies the first team to reach 100 points, wins -- has gone 48-3 in 2014-15; 66-7 in 2013-14 and 52-5 during the 2012-13 regular season. In games involving the Clippers since 1978, the team reaching 100 points first, has won 2,057 times in 2,225 games (92.4 percent).
Lawler's most famous catchphrases include: 'Lawler's Law', 'Oh Me, Oh My!', 'Bingo!', 'The Lob! The Jam!' and 'Fasten your seatbelts, gang; we're going down to the wire!'
