Luzcando's 30 lift Idaho State over NAU

POCATELLO, Idaho -- Geno Luzcando had a career-high 30 points with nearly perfect shooting and Idaho State pulled away in the second half to beat Northern Arizona 88-66 on Saturday night.

Luzcando was 10 of 10 from the field, including three 3-pointers, and 7 of 8 from the foul line.

The Bengals (10-10, 5-3 Big Sky Conference) used a 16-1 run to pull from a 48-all tie early in the second to a 64-49 lead with 11:22 left. Idaho State went unchallenged from there, matching its largest lead at the final score.

Ethan Telfair added 21 points, five rebounds and eight assists, and Erik Nakken scored 15. Idaho State shot 12 of 23 from 3-point range and 55.1 percent overall.

Mike Green made 5 of 13 from 3-point range to lead Northern Arizona (3-17, 1-8) with 22 points. Kris Yanku added 16 and Torry Johnson scored 10.
