Marquette signs 7-year agreement to play at Bucks' new arena
The Marquette University men's basketball team is following the Milwaukee Bucks to their new home.
The two parties announced Tuesday that Marquette has signed a seven-year agreement to play their home games at the Bucks' new facility beginning next season.
The Golden Eagles have played at the BMO Harris Bradley Center alongside the Bucks since the arena opened in 1988.
“As Marquette continues to grow as a national basketball power, we expect a lot of exciting college hoops to be played at the new arena for years to come," Bucks president Peter Feigin said in a statement.
Both teams are set to play one more season at BMO Harris Bradley Center before the new arena opens in time for the 2018-19 season.
“The Bucks have been such great partners throughout this process, and we’re so proud to continue that relationship with today’s agreement," Marquette athletic director Bill Scholl said in the statement.
