The Dallas Mavericks drafted University of Virginia guard Justin Anderson with the 21st pick in the NBA draft Thursday night at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Anderson was Second-team All-ACC in 2015 and was third on the team in scoring with 317 points in 2014-15 season. During his three seasons at Virginia, Anderson averaged a 43 percent field goal percentage and had a career 75.2 percent average from the free throw line. The Cavaliers made the NCAA tournament the past two seasons with Anderson on the roster.

Anderson is the first ever 21st overall pick in franchise history, and just the 35th Virginia player taken in league history.
