Mercury unveil new uniforms for 2016

PHOENIX -- The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will have familiar faces donning a new look for the 2016 season as the team welcomes back all five starters from the 2014 Championship team and announces new purple and orange uniforms.

Fans will have the opportunity to see the updated jerseys in-person when the team takes on the Seattle Storm at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday, May 20, in the 2016 Fry's Food Stores Home Opener. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Fans can vote at PhoenixMercury.com to choose which jersey the team will wear for its home opener.

The Mercury will feature a deep purple primary uniform and an orange alternate uniform -- either of which can be worn home or away. The orange jerseys will be worn for all Sunday home games.

No WNBA teams will wear white uniforms for the 2016 season.
