CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami Hurricanes newcomer Kamari Murphy has been suspended for the first three games of the basketball season for a violation of team rules.
The school announced the suspension Friday hours before Miami's first game against Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Murphy, a 6-foot-8 junior forward, transferred from Oklahoma State and was expected to be a starter. He'll return Nov. 20 for the second round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
