Miami LB Denzel Perryman's helmet camera shows his perspective on field
Ever wondered what it feels like to be an All-ACC first teamer?
The University of Miami released a video on Tuesday morning titled, ''Playing defense from the eyes of a linebacker.''
Denzel Perryman wore a SchuttVision helmet camera during Saturday's spring game at Sun Life Stadium. It's the first helmet to be integrated with a rugged, streamlined camera that sits in the nose bumper to gives fans, players and coaches a unique point of view to the action on the field. It shoots in 720 high definition.
Perryman, who elected to return for his senior season, recorded a team-high 108 tackles (69 solo) with five tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks last year.
For 2 minutes and 55 seconds, viewers saw the action through Perryman's eyes -- everything from his smoke tunnel entrance to his pursuit of sophomore running back Gus Edwards.
Twice, the video highlights Perryman's notoriously hard-hitting tackles with helmet and alternate angle views.
By video's end, Perryman earned enough congratulatory slaps on the helmet to get YouTube viewers' adrenaline pumping.
