Michigan's Bolden ejected against Michigan State
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan linebacker Joe Bolden has been ejected from Saturday's game against Michigan State for targeting.
Around the midway point of the second quarter, Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook came up the middle on what looked like a designed run, then gave himself up by sliding. Michigan linebacker Desmond Morgan came lunging in at Cook as he slid to the ground, and Bolden -- who was engaged with Michigan State lineman Jack Conklin -- came down on top of Cook.
The play was reviewed, and Bolden was ejected.
No. 12 Michigan played the first half without linebacker James Ross, who was ejected last weekend against Northwestern.
The seventh-ranked Spartans scored two plays after Bolden's ejection, the first points allowed by Michigan since Sept. 19.
