The Minnesota Wild have placed Marco Scandella on long-term injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.

Scandella suffered a high ankle sprain in a win over the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 27.

Fellow defenseman Mike Reilly rejoins the Wild in his place, alongside forwards Chrisoph Bertschy and Zack Mitchell, after being recalled from the AHL's Iowa Wild.

Reilly could give Minnesota's struggling power play a boost, and leads Iowa in scoring with one goal and seven assists.
