MANKATO, Minn. -- Minnesota State got three points from Joe Schiller Saturday, as it strolled past the Wisconsin men, 3-0, in WCHA hockey action.
The host Mavericks (7-16-1 overall) got first-period goals from Eli Zuck and Eriah Hayes and were never seriously threatened.
Minnesota netminder Phil Cook shined bright on this night, too, recording 32 saves en route to a shut out.
The Badgers (10-10-2 overall, 5-9-2 WCHA) saw their goalie, Joel Rumpel, post 29 saves on the evening.
Wisconsin returns to action next Friday at 7:07 p.m., when it hosts Alaska Anchorage.
