NAU hosts Idaho State in Homecoming game

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks look to win their second consecutive Big Sky Conference game as they return home to take on Idaho State in the annual Homecoming game at 4 p.m.

NAU (2-4, 1-2 Big Sky) is coming off a 20-14 victory at Montana State, as freshman Joe Logan rushed for a career-high 147 yards and senior defensive end Siupeli Anau registered three sacks and forced two fumbles.
Idaho State (2-3, 1-1), picked to finish 12th in the preseason coaches poll, has already equaled last season's win total, but the Bengals are 0-3 when playing on the road. They had last week off after suffering a 45-20 loss at Portland State on Oct. 1. The Bengals opened conference play with a 42-34 victory over Sacramento State at home.
NAU ranks second in the Big Sky in total offense, averaging 487.5 yards per game, while Idaho State is 12th at 363.4. NAU is fifth in total defense (385.7), and Idaho State is 10th (465.2).
Logan is averaging 10.2 yards per carry while sharing running back duties with Kendyl Taylor. Taylor has rushed for 422 yards, and Logan has 417.
Blake Kemp, taking over for the injured Case Cookus at quarterback, has completed 70 of 101 passes for 545 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Idaho State's top rusher is Jakori Ford with 329 yards and five touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Tanner Gueller has completed 119 of 191 passes for 1,089 yards with seven touchdowns and six interceptions.
