FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- After rolling past then-No. 4 Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona was rewarded with the No. 25 spot in the latest FCS Coaches' Poll.
The Lumberjacks knocked off Eastern Washington for the second straight year, snapping the Eagles' six-game win streak and giving them their first regular-season home loss since 2011. The Lumberjacks never trailed in the game and entered halftime with a 14-7 lead. NAU tacked on 38 points in the second half to cruise to a 52-30 victory.
This is the second rankings for NAU this season. The Lumberjacks last were ranked in Week 2 when they were slotted No. 24. NAU is the first team outside the rankings in this week's STATS FCS poll.
