NAU wraps up fall camp with scrimmage

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Northern Arizona football team closed its fall camp Thursday with a scrimmage.
"I'm really proud of the progress we made from day one of camp to now," head coach Jerome Souers said. "We were able to show consistency, and that was one of the major things I was looking for. The coaching staff and the players committed themselves to improving, and now it's time to prepare for our season opener next week."
The Lumberjacks will kick off the season on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Arizona State. NAU will play its first two games of the season on the road before welcoming New Mexico Highlands on Saturday, Sept. 17, in the home opener. All five of NAU's home games will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona or FOX Sports Arizona Plus.
