ARLINGTON, Texas –- That's the Way Baseball Go is so 2011 when it comes to songs about the Texas Rangers.

The song, which is a country ballad sung by country legend Merle Haggard, was introduced last year and is still played at Rangers Ballpark.

In the clubhouse though, it's Texas Back at It by INK featuring Illicit, Zica and Pain. The song was written by some friends of Texas reliever Mike Adams. The Seattle-based group gave Adams a copy of the song on the last road trip and it's become an instant hit in the clubhouse.

"It's pretty sweet," said Michael Young, the team's resident rap expert. "We heard it in Seattle. We got fired up. Everyone got a little bit of love in that song. It's pretty cool. I think they mentioned every guy."

The three-minute song manages to weave in 19 Rangers into it from Adams to Young to Yu Darvish and Koji Uehara. Texas public-address announcer Chuck Morgan played the song for the first time in Friday's pregame. It's also now available on iTunes for 99 cents.

Adams asked the group, which he met while he pitched in San Diego, to produce a song for the club. It made its debut in Seattle and Adams hopes it  becomes a staple in the clubhouse after Texas victories.

"I liked it," Adams said. "They asked me to give them some info on the team, kind of some mottos and stuff like that. You listen to it and you get the whole together theme, one game at a time. You hear some nicknames and stuff like that. They did a real good job with it."
