On second thought: Badgers top RB commit Williams re-opens recruitment
The biggest prize in the Wisconsin Badgers' expected 2016 football recruiting class might not be theirs after all.
Running back Antonio Williams, who last December said he'd be attending Wisconsin then re-affirmed that in July, announced on Twitter that he is de-committing and opening up his recruitment. As it happens, Williams will be visiting Ohio State this weekend.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Williams, who is from New London, N.C., and originally was a North Carolina commit, is rated a four-star recruit by 247 Sports, Rivals and Scout. He is rated as high as the seventh-best running back in the nation (by 247) and had chosen the Badgers over such schools as Alabama and Notre Dame.
Now it appears as though Wisconsin could be looking for a new running back for its recruiting class and eyeing its favored target over in Columbus for the next few years.
When it comes to teenagers, it doesn't take much to go from this:
