Orange Lutheran High School quarterback Ryan Hilinski announced his commitment to the University of South Carolina Wednesday afternoon.

Hilinski is listed as the No. 8 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2019 and a four-star target, according to 247's composite rankings. As a junior, he led the Lancers to a 6-6 record after throwing for 3,749 yds, 33 TDs and only six interceptions.

Hilinski received his offer from South Carolina in September and has since picked up offers from top-tier programs around the country including UCLA, University of Washington and Georgia. His commitment comes just three days after announcing a list of his top seven schools.

Hilinski is the first quarterback in the Class of 2019 to commit to South Carolina.

Ryan is the brother of former Upland High School and Washington State University quarterback Tyler Hilinski, who committed suicide in January.
