Packers fan goes to police after Panthers' Newton steals $500 sign
Is Cam Newton a lawbreaker?
One Packers fan thinks so.
After the Panthers' quarterback spotted an 8-foot wide sign that said, "North Carolina Cheesehead" at his home stadium during warmups before Sunday's game against Green Bay, he tore it down.

The fan, Mike Dobs, who paid $500 to have the sign made, wasn't going to let Newton get away with his actions, so he went to the police and told him it was stolen.
"I was just shocked, shocked," Dobs told the Fayetteville Observer. "It went from a fun event to I was disgusted."
Dobs, who claims he was going to hang the banner is his "man room," isn't done with the issue. He said he is giving the Panthers 48 hours to do something about his missing sign before "he takes further action."
Meanwhile, Newton was unapologetic about cleaning up his field.
"There's a Green Bay banner in Bank of America Stadium," Newton said. "That don't match. ... I feel it's my due diligence to protect this house. We played in Green Bay last year and I didn't see no 'Panther Country' signs in their stadium. You're not going to sell a Whopper at McDonald's."
