Packers Snap Counts: Starks effective in limited action
The Green Bay Packers finally have a healthy running back, but after falling into an early hole against the Tennessee Titans, they weren't able to capitalize on James Starks' return from a knee injury.
Starks was effective in limited action, averaging 4.71 yards per carry, while receiver/running back Ty Montgomery, who has filled in as the Packers' lead back in his absence, was an afterthought once again.
On the other side of the ball the Packers struggled to contain quarterback Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans' offense.
They surrendered a 75-yard rushing touchdown to DeMarco Murray on the Titans' first play from scrimmage, allowed two passing touchdowns and lost two players to injury, all in the first quarter.
In the end, left tackle David Bakhtiari joined the injury report in the third quarter and the Titans tacked on three more touchdowns on a dismal day for the Packers.

-- Starks didn't appear to be on a pitch count despite logging just seven carries. He out-snapped Montgomery 55 to 22, while the Packers were forced to abandon the run early after falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter.
-- After looking like a regular for much of the season, wide receiver Jeff Janis saw his usage drop to its lowest point since Week 5. He was held without a catch.
-- Head coach Mike McCarthy said there wouldn't be any limits on wide receiver Randall Cobb's usage against Tennessee. His playing time doubled this week despite his recent hamstring injury.
-- Linebacker Jake Ryan actually took the field on special teams, but was injured before the Titans' first drive.
-- It was a similar story for guard T.J. Lang, who went down with an apparent ankle injury on the first play of the Packers' second drive.
