SAN DIEGO-- After being spotted a two-run lead after one inning, Padres starter Clayton Richard has allowed two long home runs in consecutive innings.

The first came from a slumping Evan Longoria, who took out his frustrations in the top of the fourth with a 426-foot home run into the second deck in left field. It was a two-run home run for the Giants third baseman.

Then, in the fifth, right fielder Andrew McCutchen led off the inning with a 424-foot blast that also reached the second deck in left field. The home run was the second of the season for the former Pirate.

Clayton Richard was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the fifth. He allowed four runs on seven hits in his fourth start of the year.

Edward Olivares hits second home run

OF Edward Olivares, who was acquired from the Blue Jays as part of the return for Yangervis Solarte, hit his second home run in the Padres organization tonight. The 22-year-old led off the first inning with a long homer to left-center field for Lake Elsinore.

Olivares is currently hitting .323 in 31 at-bats.
