Peter Prevc wins 4th successive ski jumping World Cup

WILLINGEN, Germany (AP) Peter Prevc of Slovenia soared highest for his fourth straight ski jumping World Cup victory and extended his lead in the standings on Sunday.
The Four Hills Tour winner had the longest jumps in both rounds - 148.5 then 145.5 meters - for a total of 264.9 points, 15.5 more than Kenneth Gangnes of Norway, who jumped 139.5 and 141.0.
Severin Freund of Germany was third with jumps of 145.5 and 133.0 for 234.2 points, ahead of Austria's Stefan Kraft and Germany's Andreas Wellinger in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Prevc extended his lead to 1,024 points with his seventh win of the season. Freund is second on 779 and Gangnes third on 675.

The next ski jumping World Cup is scheduled for Zakopane, Poland, on Jan. 24.
