Adrian Peterson got good news regarding the Pro Bowl on Tuesday night, though none of his Vikings teammates did.

The NFL's Pro Bowl rosters were announced on Tuesday, and it was revealed that Minnesota's star running back will be the team's only representative in the league's postseason all-star game.

Peterson was elected to the seventh Pro Bowl of his career. The 30-year-old running back currently ranks first in the NFL in rushing, with 1,314 yards and is tied for third in the league with nine rushing touchdowns.

Peterson has also topped the 100-yard rushing mark six times this season, the most by any player in the league.

Only three players have made more Pro Bowls in their Vikings career than Peterson: guard Randall McDaniel (11); defensive lineman Alan Page (nine) and receiver Cris Carter (eight).

The Pro Bowl will be played on Jan. 31, 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Vikings' biggest Pro Bowl snubs were arguably defensive lineman Linval Joseph (54 total tackles this season), linebacker Anthony Barr (61) and safety Harrison Smith (56). All three defensive standouts have missed recent games due to injury, however.
